+1 Snoring sounds that get louder when you get closer. Or something like that. With grass enabled if you look away for a moment or there is a hill between you, welp...more Juins for The Juin God.

Nah nah, just one of the possible ideas that could help finding them, something like that will be relatively easy for devs to add and won't be overly "magical". Or maybe darts with light for night hunts or smoke for daily hunts.

Or a combination of the two, remember the quest for the marker lights? Something about like that, and a little smoke grenade spot in the darts that gets triggered along with the light, y'know?

Imagine wildbred running around in panic while colored smoke is coming out of their ass, that will make hunting even more exciting. lol

Darts with smokes / flares is something that's on consideration for sure, and other methods of spotting prey, but I don't have anything solid to give yet ^^

Does diffrent types of ammo make the smoke effect any longer?

I suggest to make the smoke effect or how its called, to be more noticable. Like diffrent colour, purple, or yellow, something that will be kinda easy to spot. And make it like permament trail to the prey. Or make it lasts for some time, and than its dissapears, so player needs like do a sniff to make it visble again. It can also be done, that its possible to sniff this only from a limited distance. Also smoke trails not always appears, idk if its bug, or it depends on whih part of body dart shoot, power of ammo, distance or whatever. Its not always actually sadly attached to exact prey location. ANd the most hard part is to locate prey when they are swimming or standing in the water. Cause i had accident. Prey run out in river near waterfall, and passed out in the middle basically sinking. And while capture interaction was unavailable its basically forced me to kcik their ass out of water:D

You might be able to follow their tracks but that doesn't always work. I think a useful way to help would be an olfactory overlay of some kind. If you've ever played Meadow you know how it works. A button allows you to tune into your sense of smell and find tracks or traces of other animals easily. This could help with hunting as well as finding downed cures. For extra hunting realism it could incorporate wind direction and speed that you'd have to remain aware of and prey could also detect your smell and avoid it so you'd want to always be downwind from your prize if you could.
