After a quick test; It appears that the character sharing works - Since it appears we don't already have a thread for sharing characters, on Steam; I thought I'd go ahead and make one for us.

To use the Character sharing; Go into the "Characters" section from the main menu screen.
After creating a character; Select that character from the left panel, at the bottom left there is a button called Character Code Sharing; Press the [+] button to expand the menu; Use the Copy Shareable code to get the character code - it will be saved to your clipboard as text; you can also past this in any text document for later use.

To import a shared character; first go to the character menu, and open the Character Code Sharing same as above; then get a shareable code, highlight the entire code; and copy it [Default Ctrl+C on Windows] Once the code is copied to your clipboard; return to the character menu and click Paste Shareable Code

Below is a short format for sharing that should make it easy for others to quickly format, and easily read to share and swap characters.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll test this and update the post when I have a little more time.

In the mean time, you should report this as a bug to the developers - Just in case they don't notice it here.

As of Build r5.24, this issue has moved to the Showroom as well.
