How do I return to rented houses please?
I've done this quest twice now, in different games. But still don't understand how I can go to the rented houses to collect money and build more houses to rent? I assume there is an easy solution? The 'R' only shows new possible renters... but no way of getting to 'town' to build more homes/ collect rent. I'm obviously missing something here - please help!!! Thank you.

If you're talking about the rented house mission, you can't.

You can, however, now make rental houses on your own "home" property. Essentially, the mission was just a tutorial on how the rental process works (yeah, I know; it's not terribly clear that's the case. Took me a moment, too).

Throw up a house on your land and see how you go. :)

Ah thank you, I found that really confusing as I assumed you could go back to the one I built!!! Think that needs to be made clearer, as I had no idea I could rent properties on my own land. Makes sense though in it's way!!!

Thanks again :)

Came here to ask the same question. Why would I want to build 10 rental property on my land tho? There is hardly room for a keep, let alone a castle, let alone 10 rentals.

You'd be surprised how much you can fit on the largest plot. I have 11 rentals (ranging from 4 - 10 squares--the squares don't all have to be on the ground floor to count), 2 /large/ castle courtyards, a stable, 4 medieval strip-farms, the 2 buildings you get with the game, a tavern and lots of small gardens/"wells"/animal enclosures and still have a stack of space left over.

Bad screenshots to show what I mean:

I could easily fit another 6-7 properties inside the exterior courtyard alone to rent out, along the walls and whatnot. This game has some issues, but space is not one of them. :)

How do you deal with the space, I purchased the 20,00 0 land it only turned my wooden wall into a stone one, and working out space i realised i wanted more space for my castle and another lot of land for the houses , but not sure you can increase your land past that?? but if i go offf those screenshots the land looks alot larger??? Can someone help clarify if you can continue to expand your land. As a kingdom would assume just that you have heaps of land to build your town.............

When I bought the last lot (the 20k), the wooden wall turned stone, but it also enlarged a couple of squares backwards. The land above looks a bit larger than it is, mostly because of the wide screen screenies, but I also put down some foundations in the castle area for scale.

You'd have to have a /really/ large castle to fill the last lot though. I could fit a 12 x 16 great hall in the second wallspace with room to spare (once the ability to put down a floor with no holes in it is available, I will do just that), and once you have the walls up, that's pretty large. I'd also have room for an armoury and whatnot, and that's before I even go to the forecourt.

You're welcome. <3

This game has so much potential. I cannot wait to see what they add. We were already given 3 more roof pieces in 1.01. [Fingers crossed for that hole-less wood floor and some hay pieces next ;) ]

Thats what I thought the 20K land is an amazing sizze for the castle itself, but i also want double that as well for the houses, garden, walkways etc, do you expand past that or do you have to work it all in that 20K area??

BTW do you know where I can find housing designs? I want to keep in with the medieval theme but want to try to work out these blocks but not sure how to put it together.....

The images I've posted are in the 20k land plot. I have no idea if they'll make it bigger in the future.

If you google "medieval floor plans" you can find some nice images to work off. :)

I hope they let us mix house and castle pieces one day. [HINT, devs].

Second that!!! Very restricting at the moment :( Especially castle floors...

Exactly thats where I get confused in the floor blocks they show a full block yet its i only for the floor, then you have the same picture for the full blocks, then you have the circular blocks which cant be used as part of the castle build unless your put the towers seperate as you have no floor blocks to join up on angles to the circle blocks.....hope that makes sense. Otherwise make for some great designs...

But yet I will have to do some study or research I think into medieval design houses, or even minecraft medieval styles then i can transpose the designs across here hopefully.

It is also understanding the renters requirements as well. Right now I stuff up my game I was experimenting with the blocks so i didnt save it for that reason and it saved it anyhow and now i have blocks scattered and 50k blown on it as well......
