The most important thing to know is that ingredient order matters. Say you put in corn, potato, and onion, and you got a green check, a yellow arrow, and a red X: that means one is the correct ingredient in the correct spot, one is a correct ingredient in the wrong spot, and one is the wrong ingredient. Now, if you swap out the corn for tomato and you get a check and two X's, you know the corn was a correct ingredient but goes in a different slot, and that the tomato is an incorrect ingredient. On the other hand, if you swap out the potato with a carrot and get two arrows and an X, you know the potato was the right ingredient in the right spot and that the carrot and either the corn or the onion are the right ingredients in the wrong spots. If you swap out the onion for mackerel and still get a check, an arrow, and an X then neither the onion nor the mackerel are the right ingredient, and the potato and corn are both correct ingredients with one of them in the wrong spot.
If you just make sure to only swap one ingredient at a time it makes it easier to narrow things down.
