Mod for subtitles?

I have difficulty hearing, I've played a bit of this but had to rely on guides a bit which killed the experience. I absolutely loved the idea though.

For the argument that "subtitles will ruin the experience", not being able to hear does as well, no? If subtitles are given as an option, you can keep it disabled and play as intended, the option doesn't effect your gameplay whatsoever. However for people like me, we'd be allowed to play and enjoy the game as we want and enjoy it in our own way. It's a singleplayer game, you aren't even going to be forced to switch on subtitles if they do ever add them.

But I'm pretty sure they'll never be officially added, so my question now is are there any ways to mod the game with subtitles? Has anyone made that? I'd love to be able to finish this without guides.

I don't know who made that argument, but it's a pretty silly thing to say, especially when, as you say, subtitles can easily be toggled on or off. I just made the point in a similar thread that, with a little effort, this game could be made much more accessible. I hope the developers decide to do that, or allow somebody else to.

Just a couple posts of people saying that kinda thing. Some people have the idea that options aren't.. options.

From what I've read with multiple people asking for subs, it doesn't look like the devs are going to even think about them hence why I asked about mods, seems like the only way subtitles will be added :/

Just needs to take a hearing person with the knowledge to make them though, of which it doesn't seem like many of those kinda people play this.. Also most of the people who play this seem to be chinese, so there's that major language barrier with most of the community.

It's really a shame. Another thing is, subtitles would make it easier to make chinese only content available for english speaking audience (and other languages as well).
