Holy hell is this game DESTROYING MY PINKY

What an awful flaw in the game design that I have to constantly be moving my hand over and keeping the shift key ready to be depressed. Just playing the game is hurting my pinky cause this is such an unnatural movement for my hand. I'm a good typist, I'd be destroying this game if I weren't torturing my hand just to move around. I have a feeling this isn't improving or fortifying anyone's typing skills.

What's odd is that a great method for moving and typing was already canonized in Epistory: just use the spacebar instead! The game isn't even using the spacebar!

I'd like to switch the buttons to esdf, but in the settings, I can't seem to change any button except the W key, and I have no clue why.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. My pinky hurts pretty bad after an hour or two. I never thought about it, but space bar would actually be excellent, good suggestion. Hope the devs take this into account.

I just played through the game on Epic, i used my right hand on the arrow keys and my left hand to type.

It does seem like spacebar would make more sense, and shift for trinket (just swap shift/space) but playing with arrows seems strange in a game about typing. It is just odd if you are a touch typer. It really does strain a bit to hold shift so much and is a bit unnatural. It is a super movement heavy game too once you get a few bosses in. I am just gonna keep trying to play as designed and hope my muscle memory gets used to it.
