Tips for Beginners
- Choose something other than the defensive master/counter puncher. I think this type of boxer might be better late game than early (if it's good at all). The counter puncher is difficult to win with early, and you want to train him for quite a while before he can fight.

- Before fights, pay attention to your boxers "Condition" which is near the "Send Home" button. You want this as high as possible, ideally 100 percent. I didn't realize it at the beginning of games and thought it was for that day only. If you're close to 100 percent, I would still wait until it's 100 percent until you fight.

- This goes with the above tip. Your boxer needs to train every day or he gets decay. But, that training can be putting them on the equipment and taking them right off. Pay attention to MAX stats. When your boxer has their stats maxed, and the two star potential boxers max quickly, just put them on the equipment, then take them off. There is no reason to let them train anymore than for one second to prevent decay. Also, use this method for tired boxers to get their condition up to 100 percent.

- Also with the above tips, the day of the fight (for those that aren't arranged and start automatically), I train the boxer for a second, take them off. After the fight, I send the home so they have the full day to recover. I THINK that the condition improves training/morale/hidden stats as well, but can't verify this.

- This goes with a tip I post later. I think all boxers have hidden stats. One of those stats I think might be "Heart" which makes them get up more often. There doesn't seem any rhyme or reason why some boxers get knocked down and get up. I say this because early on in the game, when I didn't know what I was doing, I noticed some of my boxers would get knocked down and be out, and some would get up three or four times. Both would have similar stats. I've also seen opponents with low health and high everything else go down in one knockdown, as well as low stats in everything get up three or four times.

- When you do fight, for the most part, you'll always be maxing out head/attack early on. There will be some reason you'll want to do other things in later fights. For example, if you have a guy that has very high health, but mid-low stamina, you'll want to block (maybe 3/4 attack, 1/4 block) and choose body for block. Likewise, if you have high stamina, lower health, you'll block head. The same can go for attacking body vs. head depending on your stats vs your opponents. For the most part early to mid game, attack full, all head, is the way to go, especially with high power boxers.

- The most important category to level up right away is stamina. Stamina plays the most important part, especially early on, in both training and fights. The more stamina you have, the longer you train. The more stamina you have, the more you punch and block punches. You can do this by using the treadmill. You can switch towards your max stamina to the jump rope which provides health and stamina.

- Next, I would level up power as soon as possible. Your highest possible power (which I think is 20 (might be 10) for the starting boxer) is important.

- Dont fight until you have at least 10 power, 30 health, 30 stamina, if you can. Sometimes you'll get thrown in the ring with someone with terrible stats, sometimes their stats will be much better than yours.

- Speed doesn't seem to come into play very much early game. I dont really notice speed until the boxer is pretty well trained. And you'll never have enough stamina with high speed boxers early on.

- You can select "Repair" for equipment, wait a while, and then assign the boxer to the equipment again. They will train while it's being repaired. Saves time and also doesn't decay the equipment for that training. Wait until it breaks down. I've found no reason to wait to repair. Sometimes, you wont be able to select the training even though it doesn't say it's broken. This is the only reason you will repair before broken because it doesn't allow you to start training when it's 1 percent.

- You need one point in the scout research tree to take on new boxers. You should wait until you get a good bankroll before you attempt to take them on. And remember, THE MORE FIGHTS YOU HAVE, THE QUICKER YOU LOSE. Those fights really drain your money. Spend more time training.

- I would avoid the boxing ring at this point. Doesn't seem to be efficient training, and most of the time, your boxer will have stats maxed out (quickly) in one area so it loses even more efficiency.

- When you DO bring in a new boxer (recruit), make sure you TRAIN STAMINA as much as you can. There is a very important reason for this. Every new boxer (for some unknown reason) comes in with very HIGH decay. Decay erodes the ability of the boxer each day. I have yet to bring in a boxer than didn't lose most of his power and speed within the first five or so days. You can minimize this by increasing stamina so they train longer each day. The longer they train each day, the more the decay goes away. Some start as high as 150 percent decay, and they might lose 20-25 decay each day.

- There are hidden stats in this game which dont come out very often, and I dont know how they effect the game. If a fighter requests to do something, there will be times when you allow it and you get a notice that "morale" or "loyalty" is increased. There might be other things that increase as well I haven't seen or forgot. Also, I've seen very low stat/high potential boxers obliterate higher stat boxers with higher power than they should have, and different moves that they haven't got yet.

- Sponsorship is very important. I would max out the skill tree for this as quick as possible. This will help bring a lot more revenue into your gym, and keep you a bit more stable. I think that five points in this brings the scout back in five days.

- No need to unlock staff in skill tree for quite a while. It's 2000 a day per staff member. It goes down with each point, but it will be way to high for quite a while.

More to come.

Eh...

-Counter punchers are very good in early and late game, one of their perks does a huge bonus % dmg on block and they tend to have more stamina than any other class allowing them to take punches and deal crazy damage.

-Speed is crazy good and is right next to power for top stat. A boxer with high speed and set for body will wear down an opponent so fast by reducing their stamina through many body blows. Combo that with perk that does heavy stamina dmg from body blows and the opponent will never get a hit because they will be out of stamina and gassing out every 2 sec.

All my fighters are undefeated and climb rank with ease, even 4* boxers can turn out great.

I disagree. Counter punchers dont even have the ability until you unlock it. And then, you need to spend most of your time blocking (and be successful) for it to even work. Early game, there's absolutely no point. Having 5 or 10 percent counter punch ability, combined with low stats for power, makes for a very tedious early game.

And regarding speed, it doesn't matter in the slightest early game. You have low stamina early game, and speed is useless without high stamina, particularly for a counter-puncher that's using their stamina blocking.

I would actually play the game instead of listen to this guy and see for yourself. Counter punchers are NOT effective early game.

I'll take my boxer/brawler/swarmer against your low stat "counter puncher" that can't even counter punch often any day.
