Stick with it for a bit and you'll get the hang of it.
On the Ship for example during when we have control of Fliss and he has to defend himself from the first encounter with the ghosts and also when he meets Brad, here I have failed the QTE and I am dead.
Only later did I discover among the options that the time limit can be deactivated, but this would facilitate too much, for example, through an update it would have been enough to reduce the speed of this time.
Even by reloading the savegame I can't go back to before Fliss died.
This is the only negative side I found in this title.
Fliss was my favorite, although I wanted to at least try to save everyone else.
If i recall correctly, it isn't timed, but I'm not sure. I mean the circle showing the time is there, but even when the timer runs out, the event won't progress until you press a button. Every other event should be like this. The only other exception that I'm aware of is that there are no settings to make the "stay calm"/breathing events easier.
Thanks!
Glad i could help, have fun! :D
I get it is an interactive game but that is just too much. I clicked A on the item to interact with it smh. Not to sit there like I turned into a statue.
The normal QTE's are pretty fast in this game though. I usually hit it with in 170 to 250 MS depending on if I was got off guard or not. I can imagine for the average reaction time person which is I think around 250 to 300 MS. So for someone that just isnt naturally gifted or average with reaction times. I can see how game ruining it would be.
For instance Resident evil 5 you literally got half a second to react (500 ms) on hard. Normally that wouldnt be bad, but if you use a keyboard. The two combination of keys are just normal keyboard buttons. So the ICON looks literally the exact same at first glance, and since I do have dyslexia it makes it damn near impossible to react unless im guessing. It is just grey buttons with a letter. Most games on PC have a Button QTE, Space, and mouse buttons. They all look different as an icon. So you see image and brain go "SMASH". That was the one time I had QTE's just ruined for me. If I died to a QTE, id literally switch to a controller to see color coded buttons. Plus the controller for some reason only had 1 button presses 90% of the time while PC it was always two buttons that are random between 4 buttons.
Im glad for the people that need the option to disable QTE's these days. Even if I am an arrogant ass when it comes to confidence in skill level. I still like when games that deserve attention get more players playing it.
