Sony wont bring such a successful first party IP to other platforms, they will just have a different developer make Until Dawn 2 as a PS5 exclusive. With the first game being such a surprise hit they may see the IP as a potential system seller.

That article is invalid. Supermassive Games doesn't have any say whether Until Dawn gets a sequel or not since they don't own it. The copyright for Until Dawn is entirely owned by Sony so they could easily get another developer to make the sequel for them.
EDIT: looks like PSN now has a 7 day free trial - more than enough time to beat UD 2 or 3 times... you could probably collect every item in the game and get all trophies in a week if dedicated.
2) This game is not bad. Not at all. I'd say it fixes a few of the thing UD did wrong, while messing up a few of the things UD got right... but one is not inherently better than the other. UD is a little longer, but this game has better replayability and an awesome co-op mode. UD has fewer graphical glitches and better animations, but there is nothing groundbreaking here. I personally liked UD's story better, but thought the characters in both stories were on the same par with each other (though in UD you do get a bit more time to spend with them which helps get to know them and their stories better).
3) The devs have no control over if the game gets released to PC or not. Obviously, based on their other titles and upcoming titles, all of which have a PC release, they would prefer if it came to PC also and more people got to enjoy their hard work, but Sony isn't going to port it -- especially when their answer to PC gaming is PS Now.
