The black screen you are seeing is supposed to be a Video that currently doesn't play on Windows 7. Tab in and out once and or sit through the blackscreen and it will continue afterwards. What you are missing is the introduction of the curator with a Video + Music

You need to install a version of VC ++ 2017 14.10
This version is provided during the installation by Steam of the game: you can find it in the following directory:
... / Steam / SteamApps / Common / Steamworks Shared / _CommonRedist
There are three versions of VC ++ useful for running the game correctly (2010, 2013, 2017). Install all three, it can not hurt ...
The proposed 2017 version is 14.10.25008 This version allows the game to run without problems or conflicts.

I had same problem and nothing could fix any problems. I tried to use it as window mode and it doesn't work anymore.

At least this dev should see some issue and going to fix it sooner or later.

yeah i have the same problem am gonna wait 1 whole day if nothing has changed i will ask for a refund unfortunatly i really want to play this game but right now its unplayable.

I had black screen on windows 10. I solved the problem in this way:

1. Uninstall the vc redist 2017 x64 version

2. Search with google "The latest supported Visual C++ downloads" and click on microsoft link

3. Under "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019" click on "x64: vc_redist.x64.exe" to download it and install.
