Can't see Pictures/Premonitions?

So I just found the first picture, and whenever I play it, I just get black screen with sound. Can't see anything. I'm supposed to see something right? Like the totems in Until Dawn?

Looks to me more and more like a Windows 7 Problem missing the Codec for it to play. Did the intro of the Curator play for you ? It's a Music Video with the Opening Credits

No it did not, It hung on a black screen and I had to alt tab out and back in to get the game to progress . I believe backhart had the same issue, so it very well could be windows 7

Yep theres a Video supposed to play where the Curator walks in. It plays a music song aswell as showing some credits. That explains your black screen as it doesn't play it.

Seems to be a Win 7 issue confirmed then. Question is how to fix it if even possible. The Video files are in .mp4 Format but my usual Video Player can't play them they seem to be encrypted so it looks like Windows 7 is missing the decryption for those Videos.

Or finding out whatever Codec or Decryption it is Win 7 is missing so you can possibly install it.

Small update the issue is with the Video files. One of the PCGamingWiki members found the issue. Some of the Files have a double Header in them causing Win 7 apparently to fail playing the File while Windows 10 skips the double Line and plays just fine. With other words the video files have to be fixed to play properly.

Thank's for the update, I kinda figured that was going to be the case, I have just spent the past couple of hours updating codecs and settings to no avail so I guessed it would just come down to waiting for a patch, hopefully the devs are already aware of the issue and are working on a fix :)

You could manually Hex Edit out the double header i guess to make it work too

same problem on windows 10 and i allready changed all mp4 files into .bak files to avoid the black screen bug s that fix workes

Same thing happening to my brother (win7). Sadly this basically makes the game unplayable for us.
It works for me on win10.

Gonna hold off before I get to 2 hours and if it doesn't get fixed until sunday I'll refund it, since we planned on playing through it in coop this weekend and if that's not possible I'll just watch a youtube playthrough or something instead.
