Attribute and skill points
Can anyone explain why the points allocation has not been graduated? Moving up through the levels increases the number of experience points needed to attain a higher level but the attribute and skill point allocation remains the same. I appreciate that for some this may be OK as the challenge becomes harder the more you progress but, couldn't the developers have created a graduated scheme? For instance, levels 1-10, 5 attribute points and 1 skill point ; levels 10-15, 7 and 2 points; levels 15-20, 10 and 3 points etc. up to a maximum of 20 attribute and 5 skill points. It would then be a matter of choice as to whether the player used all the points or not.

This brings me on to whether or not anyone has managed to find a way to set the points to a higher fixed amount, say 15 attribute and 4 skill points, by altering the actual game files? Yes, I know that could be construed as cheating but it does give a better edge to those of us whose gaming skills are at a lower level and would eliminate a lot of the frustration of numerous restarts having been killed over and over again in one area.

You can use the endless dungeon modification, there you will get enough attributes, and the idea is not bad attribute points I can make As for skill points, it’s more complicated, in this mod you can purchase boxes with up to 100 skills, but this is random and does not guarantee that it will drop out.

Thanks for the info. I'm not familiar with modifications having never used one in a game before. Where and how can I get this mod?
