Hellgate london or hellgate global

Hi it's been years that i played the original hellgate london and today i just remembered its existence tho i heard that this version is not actually the original game but an offline version of a Korean online version called global ? so what are exactly the differences between the original of 2007 and this one on steam? should i just get the original 2007 again ? thanks

Honestly, the Steam version is great...hooowever, it misses a bunch of original content and it's slightly altered. Without a doubt the original game is better, but this version includes Abyss, Tokyo and other gimmicks, but not their full parts. People say go for 2038 as it includes more and is less buggy, plus it's multiplayer.

Personally though, with no actual PC, and only a deck I think the steam version is brilliant and a good bit of memorable moments.

does 2038 need a specific version ?

If I remember correct, you need to the original base game (not steam, as I've read 2038 doesn't cooperate with steam well). I'm not the best to say it really as it was a while back when I even last toughed 2038 unfortunately... I hope someone else can comment to give you a more direct answer 😨

This version is poison. Its a step back from the original - lower textures - everything is uglier and for most people it doesn't run. It turns into a slide show because i runs on just 1 core and it runs badly. Stay away from this trash fire. The original was 1 of my favorites - this is a stripped down version that runs bad.

Managed to get the 2007 version and patched it up while installing the revival mod , given the feedback yeah it seem that classic is the way
