Difference from original?
I still have my copy of the original, though I haven't played it in years. Besides the lack of multiplayer what changes are there for good or bad?

I like the minor improvements (like the mini game to spawn big monster) and the Korean models. I also like the new maps that I haven't seen before. Mostly because my PC doesn't have a disk drive no more, I am happy to play this on Steam.

Also new quests.

Hanabit is Korean, is there any of the questionable stuff that's normally associated with Korean games like increasing the chance your stuff will break when you upgrade it and giving you the ability to pay to avoid that?

I know they said there's no cash shop but unless they specifically countered it that means there's no way to bypass the things Hanabit did to make you want to use the cash shop.

I know there's no microtransactions anymore, what I want to know is does the game still have the changes/nerfs that were done to make you want to use the cash shop that was removed.

I for one am not sure about the graphics quality. Granted I run it at 4K on a 52” monitor but I swear if I could find my original boxed version and install it that the game looked better.

I feel like this Steam version doesn't have that gloomy color shade it used to have. Everything is so....washed and bright....There IS a Mod you can use to "fix" the shade though. The previews looked pretty good/better too.

The character creation had some modification via HanbitSoft purchasing the rights to the game.
The NPCs and your character looks more typical Korean-game looking.
At the same time, the original game had more western-game like feature on looks, but it wasn't the greatest either.

The only reason I bought it is because of the nostalgia to this game + I like the loot-system / Skil tree / Modify-able equipment system.

Textures are not better but the models are better. Hopefully they ll improve the textures if the sells go well.

You can still lose mods when you remove them and lose items when you upgrade them. So yeah be prepared for frustration :)

EDIT: You can nano forge up to a +6, which is pretty strong, without worrying about losing the item. After that the item is destroyed if the Nano Forge fails. Back in the day there would be a server wide announcement anytime someone was crazy enough to nano forge above a +6 successfully.

Wow the graphics are so much worse. They intentionally downgraded the graphics so the game could run on lower end systems. There is nothing better graphically in this release. At all.
