Razor use to make great stuff like the diamondback 3G mouse. Used that thing for YEARS. The scroll wheel is mostly worn out so I had to get a new one.
Ended up going with a LG G903 SE. Ambidextrous, I am left handed, wireless, my first wireless mouse, and it was on a massive sale.

Another thought I'm having is it sounds like it's possibly got a corrupt file or two, maybe try verifying the game files w/steam?
As an aside about mouses. If anyone's interested in a rechargeable wireless mouse the Jellycomb 4g + Bluetooth mouse is great including 2 adapters 1 for usb c & 1 for standard USB. I found out the hard way that it's water resistant by design thanks to dropping the mouse into the sink basin when it was full. The battery life on it's outstanding, I've yet to have to recharge it due to a prompt & that's running the mouse for DAYS. It doesn't have all the extra buttons that gaming mouses have, but it does have 3 sensitivity selections. What's really cool is you can connect it via wireless adapter to pc, connect it to bluetooth on another device & plug the usb c adapter into your phone, that way you just need to hit a button on the bottom to change what it's controlling. It's pretty sweet & I've yet to have it disconnect on me while gaming. It's less than $20 brand new and is usually available for Prime members.
I stopped buying stuff from razer. I am not joking, but the synapse software made my windows 7 going into bluescreen so that I had to format my pc. I first couldn't believe it was the razer software doing this, but I reproduced the same error several times to be sure. I wrote the razer customer support about this issue and they just said that they have never seen this happening.
I have 3 headsets and 1 mouse of Razer. 2 of the headsets broke after 6 months and the mouse (basilisk) has issues with its mousewheel. For me razer is like apple, their products costs 2 times more than other products just because of the look, whereas you can buy the exact same thing for much cheaper from other good brands. You just pay the name, that's it, quality is still the same.
I went back to logitech, never had any issues with the brand and I had and still have a lot of stuff from them.
