HELLGATE: London

HELLGATE: London

London 2038 is better and has multiplayer
https://london2038.com/

Just in case some of you aren't aware, London 2038 is a private server for Hellgate: London, and it's much better. Multiplayer, in my opinion, adds a lot to the Hellgate experience, and the devs actually update it often, unlike this Steam release that was abandoned over a year ago by T3Entertainment.

Also this Steam version is the Korean version, which has lower quality textures and drastically lower quality cinematics. London 2038 uses the actual game's files (you'll need to find those for yourself, or buy a copy for ultra cheap off eBay), so they're much better looking and you don't have those anime-looking hairstyles which didn't fit with Hellgate anyway.

the singleplayer version is Hellgate Revival

No..? It's the base game still, which never supported controllers. You could always just use one of those controller mapping programs, though.

Or try adding it to steam as a non-steam game and use steam's controller mapping. I mean, I've done this for other games that had broken controller support and it worked great for me.

Doesn't this version (Steam) have more content...Areas/Maps/Quests? I don't experience the 1fps bug, so even with the slightly less graphics I've enjoyed my time thus far. Is Tokyo in 2038 yet?
Zach Fett Mar 4, 2020 @ 6:09pm
No, Tokyo isn't (and likely won't ever be) in London 2038. You're not really missing much, though.

1.) Woosh. Think about what he's implying a little more.
2.) You can buy a copy on eBay for under $10 shipped. I know because I just got an extra copy last week. Perfect condition.

Yes i could mayhaps get a copy for cheaper or more expenive. But then i must also buy a new cd drive since my old one is busted. So it would still be more expensive than the steam version. And before you ask why i havnt replaced said CD drive, DVD's are obsolete garbage.

London 2038 is a great mp mod. Runs smooth and the mod is way better than the global version. Since you can buy the used retail very cheap, the installation of the mod is no big deal.
