Summoner VS Engineer
Well?

Engineer relies more on doing damage along with drones, since the amount of minions are more limited. Despite that, Engineer is a bit different if you want to use the "Bomb" options on your minions, where you sacrifice them for AOE effects. Engineer was also mainly built around being a support in a group due to heal options from the main drone, but with no MP options, those skills feel left out.

Summoner just keep up a massive horde of minions and then resummon them when they die. You can choose to go all in on minions and have a small powerpool and go guns blazing (and just enough power to use Elemental Nova), or you can limit it and use "Zombie Form" to allow dual Focus wielding and spam spells (Especially Venonmous Spirit). I can't comment on Zombie Form use, since melee as a caster is general suicide in ARPGs, unless specifically built for it.

I prefer engineer, i leveled summoner to lvl 15 only to be diappointed when i found out that melee attacks in his demon form make no sound whatsoever, which absolutely sucks.Engi can outfit his drone with guns and swords which is very cool.

My 2 cents is that without multiplayer your better off as a summoner, more direct damage yourself, and your minions do more damage. The Engineer is still good, but the healing isn't as useful with only 1 player, the minions do less damage, you do less damage and you are more reliant on equipment. I'd say the summoner is one of the least reliant on equipment actually.

Consider you can not share equipment currently (no shared stash) that is a big advantage for the summoners.

To me, this version (which is different then the last version I played), makes some of the classes.....not as good as it used to be. Not sure if they downgraded the guardians abilities or what, but it's like they balanced them to include anchor at this point (instead of anchor actually being bonus damage). I used to actually feel like I could make a guardian do nearly as much damage as a blademaster with melee weapons (using anchor) and more with ranged weapons. Which to me, generally made them better (since they were MUCH more defensive as well). Now the blademaster seems to do 2x the damage...even factoring in Anchor.

Anyway especially if your just starting out, I'd try the summoner...they can rock pretty hard, are not massively reliant on equipment, do very good damage....and do to being ranged (and having other things to distract enemies) don't die too easy. The Engineer is still not horrid, but does less damage (fairly significantly).

So...
I decided to play as summoner.
The "Wasp Hive" is good weapon with "Beacon" skill?
I mean, there is many bosses with annoying affixes as "vivicious" and they can't dead so fast.

Sadly you only get 1 rank of Beacon, but the 17% is still nice with your horde of minions.
Regarding weapon, then I didn't find a lot of interesting weapons besides the pistols. 1 Focus and 1 pistol/machinepistol (Usually the spikers doing Fire damage or Toxic) felt decently powerful, also for clearing out boxes and barrels. Focus items seem to do good damage too, but they are single target only. However read the description on them. A certain type of Focus increase elemental strengths for you, which in return also helps your Elementals if you use them.

Personally at the lower levels I ran around with toxic + fire pistol to apply the debuffs. The toxic is extremely helpful against regenerating enemies. Later on you can find spectral pistols too, which debuff enemies to take increased damage and they do lowered damage to your minions.

Most of bosses are barely affected by status effects tbh, so i wouldn't rely to much on them. You just have to kill these things in 30 seconds before regen kicks in wich is not exactly very hard to achieve.
Im playing as an evoker and on level 20 it takes like 10 seconds on nightmare difficulty to kill any elite.

It entirely depends on your elemental strength. When using modded weapons, any spawned boss usually ends up being ignited and poisoned right away for me. The only increase in defence they seem to be getting is against Spectral, but that gets wrecked by your Warper minion later on, especially with the Spectral Beam skill.

In any case I agree damage can be frontloaded on a single boss, but as Summoner fighting a huge pack of monsters while you can't control the minions, it's just "quicker" to keep the boss debuffed instead of having it regen in the middle of the fight :)
