This steam release is Hellgate Global (Hellgate Tokyo 2.0). Hellgate: London was accuired by a Korean company and was reworked into a F2P cash shop MMO. Everything was reworked and rebalanced to be focused on microtransactions. It is not the Flagship Studios version.
So yes it is the meh version that came out after Flagship sunk.
You are making stuff up. There is no truth to what you are saying. We know for a fact that this is the Hellgate: Tokyo 2.0 client. It is not the Flagship game. Stop spouting nonsense.
When someone asks if the game is Hellgate: London released by Flagship Studios or "that meh version that came out after flagship sunk" and you tell them it is Hellgate: London by Flagship Studios you are spreading misinformation. You are not answering his question.
This is not a better verison. Not at all. Global was fine for a F2P MMO cash shop game but it was reworked and made worsed compared to the original. Everything from graphics to gameplay elements were changed up and weakened. This steam version will be same junk we saw in Global except worse because it won't be online.
EDIT: Yes Duchess is right. They stripped out and simplified the story a lot for no good reason.
unless theres more other microtransactions
You are right in that it isnt the flagship version, but it is however the singleplayer component, which did retain a lot of the original hellgate london content.
