will need to use the mouse to advance through main and world cup menus to get to the on field action.
If it is not working at all have a look at mircosoft's troubleshooting page for bluetooth controllers on pc....link below

I got to the point of trying to play a match using the mouse, but then trying to do anything at all in the match itself is not possible.
Not that I am aware off. Just plug and play.
Outside of that, I will have a look if there is anything we can do at our end and get back to you.
Can you give me as much details as you can about the controller model/type?
Xbox One controller for Windows, purchased in 2018, firmware version 3.1.1221.0
We were only able to replicate the issue if we turned the controller on after the game had launched. Outside of that we could find no problems. If you haven't already, try turning the
controller on first, and then launching the game.
great game btw.
