Can I use a PS4 controller to play this?

I have just downloaded the game last night and had a quick go this morning. I have a PS4 not an xbox and was wondering if I can only use an xbox controller to control this game?

My PS4 controller didn't seem to work with the game this morning, is there any other way to play this game?

Thanks for giving the game a go. In theory you can turn a ps4 controller into an xbox one controller for PC games. See for example,

But the game will work best with an xbox one controller compatible with PC. I would recommend a pdp wired xbox one controller compatible with PC. They are much cheaper than proper xbox one controllers but do a good job. It's what I use to play the game.
