Stupid difficult
I mean, i enjoy a good challenge, but this game is just ridiculous, ill look noobish and whatever, i wanted a "Time Crisis" game, but honestly, the difficulty is just way too much, sadly i didnt enjoy playing :/

When i could finally finish a zone, i didnt feel accomplished or great because of my skill, instead i just felt i got lucky, lucky enough to pop my head out for 2 seconds intervals and not get shot by the intense barrage of bullets, most of the time i didnt know what i was shooting as i just stretched out my arm to see if i could land some lucky blind shots.

I dont feel like i could get "better" at this game.

Is there any chance to include a super easy mode, checkpoints, restart from last level... CHEATS? or anything to make it somewhat easier. Feel free to mock users that choose that setting like Doom does or whatever, i just want to advance maybe beyond the 3rd time?

Meh. When I first started, I couldn't beat the second level. I finished the game recently, after trying many, many, many times. When I throw VR parties, people love how hard it is and are up to the challange trying to get father than the last person did.

Its the same problem that was in the first time crisis they solved it in time crisis 2 by showing in red bullets when they gonna hit you https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Crisis#Hit_detection

it could be nice addition only in the easy mode, maybe can keep in off on the hard mode

yeah, this is my major issue. Time crisis is awesome, and even some of the mechanics and this game are awesome, but they need to soften the game up a tad.

Or just have a more casual play mode. The basic difficulty level is called rookie but it requires you to be an expert to finish it. Its absolutely moronic. You also shouldn't increase difficulty by putting in cheap shots but that's how the later levels play. Its not fun. There needs to be a delay when you enter a room to give you time to take cover. The later levels where you need to basically lie on the ground to cover force you to either stand and take some cheap shots at the beginning or start every level on the ground in case its one of "those" levels. If they would just include checkpoints or something it'd be passable. As is I think they are turning more people away then they are attracting.

Exactly, even dark souls with its big difficulty, is fair, crisis vrigade isnt.

I'm sorry, we can't make the game easier yet, it's meant and planned to be a challenge, we find it gratifying to improve our abilities by failure and repeat.

Its your game you can do whatever you like but I think that is the most backwards logic I have ever heard. People are telling you that they are not playing your game because of the cheap deaths and they simply want an option to avoid the cheap shots like a continue option or extra lives or something. THAT will extend the life and length of your game. Keeping it as is makes your game shorter because there is little incentive to keep playing it.

If you will not do this then you might as well just change the name of play mode because having it called rookie is nonsense. It should be called, "excessively difficult because we don't want to you finish it because we haven't gotten to level 2 yet...mode." And then the higher difficulty mode can just start with you being thrown off the roof to your death.

Be patient, the new patch will be live very soon. We have improved it a lot. It will be still challenging, but AI will be a bit relaxed.

Certainly feels like the base difficulty should be the "hell" difficulty, and maybe 5 lives for rookie would help a lot. I've had one finish and consistently get 60k points but deaths just feel super cheap every time.

Well I waited for the update before commenting again but it still feels the same to me in regard to randomly getting hit with cheap shots, adding up to a difficulty level that far exceeds anything remotely resembling "rookie." I guess this game just isn't for me. Can you at least tell me whether there is any intention to EVER implement a continue, or extra lives, or an actual "rookie" difficulty mode? If not then I'm just going to stop following this game's progress.

Are you really that opposed to people playing this game casually for fun? I just don't understand the "master it or go away" mentality.

From what i understood on a earlier comment the difficulty is there because there isnt a lot of levels, so the ones that are there are hard levels used as a hurdle to make the game seem longer i think.

Anyways id preffer to play the game and finish it casually in 15 minutes and have a good time, than grind and achieve nothing other than maybe advance in 1 or 2 stages for half an hour.

Yes that's what the dev said above in response to my comment, and I told him/her how asinine I think that logic is. I really just want to know if they intend to always keep it this way. If so I might as well just uninstall this game. I hope another gave developer does something similar because its the kind of game that translates well to VR.

I'm sorry. That is not the spirit of this game. We are working on adjusting the difficulty at this moment, but it will always be a challenge.

Sorry if I'm a bit late on this, but I actually feel that the difficulty is quite messed up but headed in a positive. The first mission is stupidly difficult, with hostages, bombs, AI taking too long to peak, etc.

In the second mission, though, I found it much more challenging with increased numbers, but more simple to get through with no looming threats besides possible RPGS and a crap-ton more shooters in unexpected angles. Yes, It was difficult, but I found it much more fast-paced as a beginner-like level rather than the bank heist.

It would be nice if we had positions with more reliable cover for certain stages in the bank, but overall It was something that I could appreciate. The concrete wall provided good cover, but the AI seemed to be able to shoot me through the desk, when I was unable to hit them back.

Liked someone mentioned- two-handed shooting definetally made it more realistic and balanced, but there's just an overall difficulty spike that appears between the two levels.

As someone who has finished both levels of hard mode, this game is at the right level of hardness. You just need to learn from your deaths and have patience and remember this is VR Rambo
