Hey guys, how do I sync my progress between steam and google?

When logged in on both versions you can access cloud saves on your account. This requires the same game version on both sides but mobile versions are still in review.
In general Steam updates fastest and then it takes maybe a week to be able to sync to mobile again due to the review process until mobile can update.
The About page shows the game version.
