Naval Battles Simulator game - first impression
Hello Everyone.

I have purchased Naval Battles Simulator recently and it is worth buying it.

It is a good game (for a good price), definitely recommend to anyone interested in naval battles and serious strategy games.
The game has hours of gameplay and many features.
So far I have played battles and campaign mode.
(I will try the Shipyard soon)

I did not have any problems with a screen resolution, I knew that Java is needed, the game did not crash.
(mention that in response to negative Steam reviews)

I love the after battles reports, full of statistics and detailed information.
The timeline/curtain (in Campaign mode) is very interesting too.
(You can untick "Show curtain" in the Campaign option so you do not need to drag it up during a game)
I have spent an hour reading letters, historical info, battle reports, and listening to radio broadcasting.

I have exchanged a few emails with Michal (the game creator) and I think we should support this indie project.
The price is just the right price to help him keep going with a great product.
I know the game is not polished yet but he works on the project and more improvements are coming soon.

In my opinion the game is a remake of the Great Naval Battles game.
(correct me if I am wrong)

I will get this game. It would be wonderful if a game like this could be saved to a file that could be used by a land-based game to determine supply, reinforcement, resource and shore bombardment delivered by sea.

first impressions
Hello all,

I just bought the game, thanks to the winter sales, and had a quick look at the game, especially to the options and the encyclopedia.

Well, unless some other players, I saw no problem for the resolution and how to put it it on fullscreen.

However, when it came to the ships, I must admit I am a bit disppointed as, beside the RN and German navy, the whole stuff is quite poor. I noticed an editor that can allow ship creation, editor that remains to be tested. To be honest, I must confess that this alone stopped me from asking a refund.

I think the game has some potential, and could enjoy a favorable evolution, but I am going tro leave it alone untill the next update which may contain (if I got it right through the discussions) the steam workshop. This alone may drastically change the game and be wayyyy more gamer-friendly.

Waiting this moment, thanks to the developper for his job making a game which looks more easier and versatile than simulation à la JTS's, and keep up the good work :)
Is there any ships one can download off the workshop. Would love to create a few scenarios that have arisen in our game War in the Pacific/AE

Any Japanese ships?
Is the editor improved any?

Great potential!
