VR Oculus Quest 2 + Virtual Desktop
Hello,

I bought this game with my friend so we can play together. He is on desktop and I like to play in VR through steam with Virtual Desktop. The issues is, when I launch the game, it thinks that I'm playing with Valve Index controllers, but I'm not. I tried to join my friend's
game and I can walk around, but it seems like it misses some controls. For example when something is on the ground, I cannot just teleport it to my hand, but I could in tutorial and singleplayer. I cannot even open a toolbelt and look into tablet which is completely blank when I play on desktop with my friend. And the last issue, sometimes in VR the view is like wobbling a bit making me really sick of it, but after restart, it goes back to normal. I know it's still a beta-beta but I just want to know if I'm missing something or if it's something the dev's are working on. It's a super fun game although and I have a great time playing it on desktop.

So the thing is quest isn't supported for this game, so I use the rift controls and it works fine. I don't think I was ever able to teleport things so can't solve your issue there. As far as I remember also the tool belt hasn't been a thing for a while so I just keep it all on the workbench. And finally, the tablet being blank is a known bug and only host can pull it up and see stuff. As for motion sickness it's may be a tracking issue on your headset can't say I have had to deal with that.

You are playing wrench via virtual desktop? I assume you mean the wireless connect via this program in general. I find the wireless connectivity with the quest 1 and 2 are usually bad, built in or otherwise. Try using a cable.

If you mean you are playing desktop mode via virtual desktop, that is buggy.

Thank you for your respone Cheekus Clapus. So I guess all I need to do is wait for an update for this game or use Rift Controls and play it the way you do. Thanks!

The connectivity is perfect, but I guess it's just buggy yeah. I realized it acts differently everytime I launch the game. Thanks!

I would recommend using oculus's offical airlink. This issue might be virtual desktop related.
