How to find what bolt is suppose to go where?
Hey guy's, loving the game and learning a lot.
How do you's find out what bolt goes where?
Currrently installing a front sway bar and I've got the brackets in place as well as end body links but don't know how to fix them

I don't know if theres a better way then just remembering LOL because that's what i do, even in real life. For super complex jobs in real life i bag them and tape them to the part so in game i'll lay the bolts next to the part if they fill the item bar. As for the bolts i hold in my bar i just remember what order i took parts off and when i put them back i just work my way back.

Maybe the log keeps track of the bolts but i haven't used it. Probably didn't help hahaha

you can try this;
Set up tables and place the parts and bolts/nuts/washers etc beside the parts you take off. Lay them out on tables or the floor. If i remember you can part assemble stuff on the floor like putting shims on brake pads into calipers, then its just a bolt-on. Try putting bolts in casings when on the floor, it used to work, it might still

Yes I agree. It’s like the blind leading the blind. They concentrate far too much in VR mode/vids.
Got to YouTube and they showcase rotating bolts -looking at the ends to read sizes etc, etc, is that somehow helps the purpose.

In real life I would put bolts/screws into parts -modular and put them in containers and benches. In this it’s like myopia. Too small and you have to crouch nearly all the time.

You would also write down notes and put them with boxes of bolts (torque wrench settings for eg, and drawings) then again you would in all intents have a workshop manual as well

This is why car mechanic simulator works. Because it highlights where components go and in what order. There’s no point kidding yourself that this can be done in a virtual world. It can to an extent on smaller builds but not complicated ones
