Unable to rotate crankshft
I'm trying to finish an engine build and got to the point of timing it, i have the camshafts time easily, my problem is I cannot turn the crankshaft at all once it is inside the block. I've totally stripped the block down and and reinstalled it into the block with just the main caps torqued down and it will not let me turn it. I've been able to spin/flip it outside of block to have it line up with timing marks but as soon as i install a piston it rotates and I'm once again unable to rotate it. I'm playing in desktop mode and I get the blue bar with block slider and the slider moves but nothing in the actual engine does.

Anyone else have this issue or a work around?

I've noticed that issue occasionally since I bought the game over a year ago. I found that saving, quitting and re-starting the game resolves it and I'm able to rotate the sprock normally. I haven't done much testing to find the cause. Found it quicker just to restart the game for the odd time it's occured. I saw it more often on older builds, haven't had it happen for several builds now.

I'd suggest going on the discord channel and report it in the bugs section. Where the devs are more active and it's easier to gather more details.

I think there is a bug where the crank and cam lock tools can continue to lock the engine if they are removed in some ways. I think if you remove them by holstering them, saving/loading, or selecting them again in the tool inventory they will appear to be gone but the game things they are still installed.
