After playing this game redoing the same jobs over and over again, I feel very confident I could do the same jobs listed above much quicker than actual did them prior(average time was 1-2days, 4 days when discovering I should replace certain parts related or near the area the job is centered around).
I've been doing the bottom engine rebuild many times so far that I feel like I can easily remove a cylinder head from the majority of 4 cylinders in the junkyard.
Will this game teach you the basics? It will! Are there parts missing from IRL? I think there are a couple of sensors and different electrical stuff thats not modelled...but really, those are just a pain
Will you be a to the same steps IRL? Yeah...probably, get a good service manual though...you'll have a better understanding how engine's and the other parts are built, and how it's supposed to be.
This game to learn the basics + Service manual for your specific vehicle - yeah
I find working on my real life car (not a Miata) is a lot easier if I know where stuff is and what to look for, and this game helps provide some of that "intuition." To a much greater extent than CMS.
no game can alone -- not yet
