car is down on power and smoking when cold.
i rebuilt my engine from scratch and rebuilt everything properly. my problem is when i raced my car it said it was down on power and smoking when cold. i took my engine apart and couldnt find any obvious symptoms of worn items. help

Maybe you missed a piston ring?

nope. every part on the engine was accounted for. brand new.

You installed new valve stem seals? They're easy to miss out as you have to remove all the spring caps to access them.

yes i did. whole engine. bottom to top brand new. i found the issue was just a glitch. took the motor out. put it back in. fixed
