How to build your car.
I've just finished writing the second of two Steam Guides which will help you if you're stuck while trying to build your cars.
Putting these two guides together your should be able to build an entire car from the ground up, start to finish.
Every component, every torque value available, it's all listed here along with a building sequence which I know works.
I built an engine and a chassis as I wrote the guides to ensure that everything panned out and to try and catch any issues. To the best of my knowledge everything works just fine.
Naturally, if anyone does run in to problems then drop a comment either here or directly on the comments section of the relevant guide and I'll look in to it.

Anyway, I hope some of you out there find these of use.
Enjoy!

Edit: Just as a little side note, - My two guides (especially the Engine Building one) are very in-depth, step-by-step guides that are designed as walk-through's for complete beginners, with a few little real world educational tips thrown in for good measure.
(Talking of 'Real World' and 'Educational', check out the 'True Story - Food for Thought' section at the end of my Chassis Building guide).

However, once you're comfortable with the building processes covered in the two guides above, it's quite likely you'll only use them as a 'parts list' or for torque value referral.

MidwestB has done a good job of creating two additional guides which cover the torque values for both the engine and chassis individually, which nicely complement my two guides and which will help you save time from having to scroll through all of the additional info in my guides just to find the specific torque settings you may be looking for.
You can check them out here:

As always, drop a comment if you spot anything that's incorrect in any of our guides and we'll check it out.
Also, it's always nice to hear from people who just find the guides useful and want to give a little shout out to say hi and thanks. It makes all the effort of making these guides worthwhile.

Have fun out there, guys, and stay safe. o7

Great Guide but I think I found a small error, in your section cylinder head assembly of your Building and installing an engine from scratch guide you do not list that you need to buy 16 valve springs in your part list.

I want to say thank you very much for your guide I would be lost without it!!!!!

Well spotted on the Valve Springs!
I updated that straight away as soon as I saw your post. Thanks for the head's up on that one.

Glad you guys are finding those guides useful.
Your comments make all the effort in making them worthwhile. Thank you! :)
