Game not launching

Hi, My game doesnt launch, I tried some of the items suggested in other topics but doesnt work. I receive no message, just doesnt launch

Running the program as administrator gives me the issue: "The code execution cannot proceed because d3dx9_42.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

I reinstalled the program but still get the same issue

You need to reinstall DirectX, not the game:

## Please update or repair Microsoft DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010):
1. Click https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
2. Click Download button.
3. Uncheck all under Microsoft recommends and click No thanks and continue button.
4. Save then run directx_Jun2010_redist.exe extractor.
5. Select a temporary folder to extract DirectX installation files, for instance C:\Temp\DirectX
6. Open that temporary folder and run DXSETUP.exe installer.

Thanks I do it and at the ends it says. "An internal system error occurred. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine problem".

I go to DXError.log and see the following

What is your Windows version?
Is this the complete log?
Do you see something about d3dx9_42.dll?

You can check if you see the dll file in C:\windows\system32\
Maybe it copied the file even though it is behaving as if there was an error.

If the file was copied, you should be able to launch PCM19.

yes, this is the complete log. I have windows 10 Home. I check and I have D3dx9_42_x64 and x86. They are saved in other steam game folders and on C\Windows\SysWOW64\websetup and C\Windows\AppData\Local\Temp

btw this is the log from this morning, the log is much longer as it logs stuff everytime i do something

SysWOW64 contains 32 bits DLLs (so PCM19 does not use this folder).
System32 contains 64 bits DLLs (PCM19 uses that one).

You may find that confusing but that's how Windows works :)
-> 64 bits DLL files are in System32

D3dx9_42_x64.cab are DirectX installation / package files not DLL files but you may not see it if you don't display file extensions.

Try to execute DXSETUP.exe as an administrator and see if it eventually create d3dx9_42.dll in C:\windows\system32\
If you can't see extension, you should see d3dx9_42 and you can tell me if you see some other files like d3dx9_xx where xx is a number ranging from 24 to 43.

Your Windows 10 is a 64 bits version, right?

there are a number of dxdx9_xx folders ranging from 24 to 43 in that folder but 42 is not there. I tried the admin but i still get the same error with DirectX

based on the x64 it has to be 64 bit

Yes your OS is 64 bits so that's fine. The official solution would be to reinstall Windows 10 and I would do that because your OS appears pretty messed up to me.

But if you don't want to go through all that, you can manually extract d3dx9_42.dll from Aug2009_d3dx9_42_x64.cab and copy it into C:\Windows\System32\

NB : Aug2009_d3dx9_42_x64.cab can be found in the same folder as DXSETUP.exe
You just need to double-click Aug2009_d3dx9_42_x64.cab to see what it contains (like an archive / zip file).
