how to time a fitness peak ?
Hi,

I'm struggling with timing my fitness peaks in Pro Cyclist mode.
My fitness peak always triggers to early. The bar starts filling 8 weeks (56 days) before the objective, i get 2,3 points a day for training and 3 points on a raceday which means that i get to 100 points in 34 to 44 days (about 2-3 weeks before the objective). If that objective is a GT, my fitness peak is gone halfway through the tour with important races yet to come (even with the 28 days fitness peak).

Is there a possibility to influence this timing ? Maybe even make it start only after the begin of an objective so that if you don't have the 28 days fitness peak skill, you get your peak for the 2 last weaks of a tour.

timing fitness peak in pro cyclist with the new skills that can let you keep 100% fitness almost all season is pain in the ass. Try slowly building your fitness from 80%-85% towards GT. This way you'll get sth like 1,5 or 1,2 points per day from the days with <90% fitness. Can't remember the extact formula but its way less than 2,3 you're getting from >95%. Only thing to remember is that the race days still give 3 points per day. Other workaround is to initially put the objective that is 10-14 days later. You can still change the objective when fitness peak bar stars filling

Putting it later doesnt solve my issue. I'm trying to win all 3 GT's in one season. So my first objective is some tour starting on 30/04 and I hoped to have the fitness peak during the Giro :D

I didn't know that training gives less points if your fitness level is lower. It's hard to make it drop between giro and TDF tho. Also because giro is inside the 8 weeks before TDF, so its 3 points a day :/

Thanks for the information!

Tour de Romandie on 30th of April. Been there done that. If you time things right you'll be able to peak during first 10days of Giro and and final 12-14 days of TdF. Although winning both is surely doable even on extreme without peaking during whole tour. Bonuses from 100% fitness, +1 objective and maybe +1 from favourite race is more than enough to win. Unless your rider really sucks at time-trials or get some crazy cobble stages as a climber in Le Tour.
