Breakaway for 110km
Why am I supposed to do this in my second race? I can get 60km comfortably but then the cat 4 rider in my group goes off on his own and I have no chance to catch him

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, just like in real life. You will have to go all in and not try to save yourself for the finish. You have to catch the breakaway ride who attacked and stay with him, or give it up and go back to pack for the finish. No in between.
