HELP! Can't plant seeds?

I was able to dig 2 plots but can't find a way to plant the seeds. I can't put the hoe back into inventory or put seeds or plants in my hand. HELP!

As a suggestion... allow rebinding of WASD to arrow keys. I am left-handed and using WASD keys are a pain because I use my left hand for the mouse. I can rebind WASD to arrow keys with my keyboard but then have to remember to unbind them when leaving the game.

You can't move tools around on your hotbar/inventory IF you still have the tool activated. If it's activated it has an orange outline. I noticed the game sometimes bugs out and thinks the tool is still activated when it's not (no orange outline). Then just hit whichever number corresponds with that slot to activate/unactivate it again and it will be free to move around.

To plant seeds you just have to have them in your inventory, not on the hotbar. When standing at the hole you dug, press E to open a planting menu that shows all the seeds you are carrying and then just choose the one that you want to plant.

Thanks for the help. Apparently going to bed cleared up the issue. I did try to move it back to inventory and several other things (with and without the orange outline) and nothing worked. So if I get stuck again I'll just take a snooze. LOL
