Any optimization at all?
As the title suggests. Has there been any optimization at all?
This game puts more load on my system than games like GTA V or Mordhau and almost gets my GPU to head up to 70°.

Or is this just another case of unity engine being unity engine?

The game had a really lengthy period of optimisation, with some extremely talented individuals working absolute wonders under the hood. However, there is more we need to do.

I wish you best of luck with that, well knowing that the Unity Engine does have it's own set of individual problems.

good its not just me... i'm running it on a beefy system

2080ti
i7-6970k
32GB RAM

and it stutters pretty badly for such a small game
Goffik Jun 8, 2019 @ 2:59am
The strange thing is that this stuttering isn't necessarily hardware related. I myself have no stuttering at all now, yet my system is not nearly as powerful as yours.

i7-6700
GTX 1060 6GB
16GB RAM

i mean it's not bad... probably an exaggeration a little, it's still playable

but when i can play games like metro and AC and its super smooth, but this just jerks every now and then

especially when its day time, it gets a little annoying

actually i found out what it was, it was the screen capping

had it set to 60FPS but that was stuttery... turning it over to vsync (which is set to 60FPS by my nvidia setting) its super smooth

problem solved

i'm running it on a system

2GB 1050
i5-661
8GB RAM

Someone that has resolved their issue and actually bothered to take the time to come back and let everyone know! What a rarity. Well done Sir, hopefully this will help others solve the same problem. :)

heh no worries, the least i could do

enjoying the game a lot so far, it still could run a little better in parts but i'll let it slide because the game is so good :)

Maybe it's G-SYNC, maybe it's the Unity engine, maybe it's both? Whatever, this game seems to run very poorly on my PC (i7-4770K @ 4.2 GHz, 16 GB, GTX 1080 Ti, Windows 10 Pro v1903) on the High or Ultra preset at 2560x1440 despite the simplistic visuals.

The framerate can be 110 fps one second then as soon as I'm near light sources the framerate tanks to sub-60 fps, sometimes as low as 35 fps, with both low CPU and GPU usage. On Low and Medium, which doesn't really look that different, then the framerate is 110+ fps at all times.

G-SYNC helps keep the game feeling smooth on the Ultra preset when the framerate tanks below 60 fps but why is running so poorly on my PC? I half suspect it is the engine as Unity can be problematic at times (it is prone to stuttering for example and doesn't support exclusive fullscreen by default which is needed for G-SYNC to work properly).

Good game but very disappointing performance. Tested on both the v430.xx and v435.27 drivers by the way with the same results.

Thanks for the message, it's great to have some detailed notes about what you are experiencing. We are actively looking into these issues.

I'm actually running the max specs, same rig lol. Old, 2009, but more ram. Don't use my work rig gaming, but i've got to set it to 1360x768 on my 4k, can't plac it on 1080p, stuttering badly. Runs fin on the work rig but it's a nono to play games on it for me ha. I need to get a second rig. LOVE the game and lowering graphics to medium/1360x760 doesn't look all that huge of a difference, so i'm enjoying it, but specs needed on the list doesn't translate when the exact rig (Dell rig, oldie but seems to be the exact build here, oddly i've never seen that) on the max, nope, not close.

But wow is this an awesome game. Gladly wait for optimization, but loving it. Runs buttery smooth and impressed that the huge resolution drop isn't blurry as hell for me like normal. I'll have to test this out a lot more and give feedback for older rigs/ Didn't notice any issues on the main but it's only at 1600x900 for the screen, hooked up to an hdmi on the oldie and vsync is terrible, but i usually use in game fps caps, so 60 runs 60, but nothing past that is stable. Oddly it's around light sources as stated above, or when moving fast in a cop car. Night time is so much worse.

Thank you for letting others know how you solved it. Very rare to see :)

We've just made some optimisations to the night time performance. Try the latest update.
