After 2 years I have had the chance to play this game on launch and recently, The moment you start, the game looks absolutely gorgeous. The combat is smooth alongside how in detail the Gore/dismemberment is on the zombies. The variety of weapons available keeps the game fresh throughout.

Only downfall is the game simply isn't a story focused experience. The Gameplay itself is more on the arcade and brighter side compared to the first couple games in the series. But 10/10 on the Graphics and scenery of LA

Overall, I recommend this game. It is a fast, fun and over-the-top violent zombie slasher with some story and RPG elements to it. I played the main story, both DLCs and most of the side-quest. Took me around 60 hours which I mostly enjoyed. Here some key pros/cos:

+ very violent zombie combat that feels impactful (including damage on zomies, etc.) and just fun
+ fun, different weapon types
+ nice, different areas with houses, sewers, military bases etc.
+ decent playtime
+ crafting/ modifiying weapons is fun
+ I felt that the RPG elements (levels, skills etc.) brought nice elements to the game

Cons:
- the game gets repetitive towards the end because..
- ... recycling of boss enemies as normal stronger zombies
- ... not too many different zombie types (most of which you fight in basically the same way)
- story is there but mostly rather uninspired
- quest could be more intereting (it's usually find person X who is alrdeady dead and then kill the zombie)

Look, overall this is not some RPG game of the century or a great revelation in gaming. But it is fast-paced, fun and delivers in many areas. If you like this type of game - go for it.

fun game, def worth it on sale and very enjoyable. but mirrors dont have reflections so thats a tragedy. but such funny interesting characters hehehehahaha californians hahahahaha stupid east coast people hehehehe
