Hi, I'm guessing you are starting out on your first play-through? There are no difficulty settings as such. DL2 was designed as a co-op, but I think its more enjoyable as a solo. However I struggled to get to grips with the game play style, especially with the fist boss fight.
One thing that does make a difference is your starting character. I found Ryan the easiest as he is quite resilient and can take a beating lol. Although everyone seems to have their own preferences.
After that its down to coordination and not getting hit so much. Use kick and block to keep them off you and keep moving. When you get the timing right there's some awesome take downs, and don't forget the head stomps, so satisfying lol.
Cheers
I'm playing as jacob and I have 2700 health and teh zombies still only have to hit me 5 to 6 times and i'm dead. I'm dodging and everything, so not quite sure. I even made sure to use the cards that don't hinder me.
I finished the game as Amy.
Must be skill issue.
It would be a shame if you are put off DI2 its a good game. I've found the community on this forum to be very helpful. There is a bit of a misunderstanding of play-style but its not toxic compared to some steam forums lol.
I loved dead island and riptide, open world FPS in general. DI2 is more of a linear console type game, level up and repeat. Not the sort of thing I would usually play, so I had a little trouble adapting. Once I got the hang of the game, zombie slaying was so satisfying.
People did say they didn't understand the trouble I was having, but they still helped. Cheers
