I was really enjoying this game until Bride Becky
I prefer to play solo as I can take my time to explore, build my character skills and collect a few decent weapons. Absolutely loving the zombie fighting dynamic with the custom take downs and head stomping lol.

So getting to Becky wasn't a problem. Even hordes like at the toxic pool was doable in one go. The only problem I had was opening a door using a fuse that had a big bugger inside that took about ten goes to take down, but that was optional, I could have ignored him until later.

I turn off zombie health stats and damage numbers as I think it spoils the look and the immersion of the game. Normally getting thrown around by big woman would be a bit of a turn on lol, but in this case it got tedious very quickly. Even when she was on her knees and I was whacking her, she got up again.

Watching a you tube video I saw the technique, dodge run jump attack repeat, but it still took some doing until I was board whit-less.

What I'm asking is am I missing something? When looting the room afterwards there was a scaffold pole and in inventory it said frenzy. Was I supposed to grab that pole and hit frenzy to take her down? Also there is no god mode and I can't be bothered with cheat-ware so how many more boss fights are there like this? If many its going to get old very quick, I just want to mash zombies lol. Cheers

Maybe you just not used to the mechanics of jump, dodge, run? I didnt have any problem with Becky, killed her first time (not bragging or anything lol), I gotta go back to the game though I only played like 30mins after Becky so not sure what's coming, I play solo as well

Adler, OMG you are so bragging lol, and why not.

Thanks for the reply but you didn't say how you beat Becky so easily? Did you spend a load of time building your character? What weapon did you use? I know some of the heavy zombies and boss' are immune to some weapons but I tried all I have. Like I say I must be missing something? Cheers

I would say try to learn to time your dodges/blocks just right for her. It can take a bit to get the hang of it so maybe learn it more by running around the normal ones to get practice. Other than that it's heal when you get low and hit her when you dodge/block her. It's the first big boss in the game so it can be frustrating till you get the hang of the mechanics. Also try remapping the button for dodge/block to a button you're more comfortable using and that will make it a bit easier to do.

Okay so for one frenzy isn't an "ultimate" like you interpreted it. It's a weapon type. Frenzy weapons are basically quick attacks, have increased chance for critical hits. All weapons have a weapon type so it's generally a good idea to overlook them when you get one you don't know.

Becky is REALLY easy especially once you know how to block/dodge right. Since becky is a crusher variant, go for the arms. Arms are their weak point. Figure out the timing to dodge when she swings at you, and jump when she does an overhead smash. Also avoid jumping in front of her when she does an overhead smash because she can still hit you in air.

I usually keep 1-2 shamblers/walkers alive if I can so I can leech off them for health. Dodge/block perfectly leads to stunning them which lets you do a finisher move for quick hp and makes you temporarily immune to damage during the finisher. There's also medkits around that area if I recall correctly.

The game really emphasizes on using your surroundings, but doesn't account the fact early leveled players might not have those resources to exploit them yet.

water on the ground makes it easy to electrocute strays ..

as well as beck beck becky (chuckle here) ..

i used the stage alot to keep beck beck becky distracted ..

long enough to speed away while ground pounding what ever got in the way ..

then ground pound again right next to beck beck becky because it liked it ..

it liked it sooooo much it sat there in a middle of a puddle (electrocute here) ..

rinse repeat ..

~take off head here

That is the first boss fight in the game, and there are many many more coming, pretty much every main or side quest has what is in effect a boss fight at the end of it or somewhere in it, and as a crusher type she is one of the least annoying boss types, go for her arms with fast swinging blades, and you should see that you are critting a lot, run in hit her arms a few times the run away, rinse and repeat, if your weapon is long enough you can also strike across the table near the door into the room, and that blocks her ground bash or at least it did for me when doing it.

Thank you ALL for the advice, very much appreciated, guess I just need more practice lol.

I was addicted to Dead Island and Riptide and think I was expecting something similar. I am going to persevere as the zombie slaying is awesome, and I haven't even got to the guns yet lol. Cheers

You won't get guns to spawn until you do the Justifiable Zombicide story quest. In my biased opinion, said bias stemming from this game's two predecessors, the ability to procure firearms is damnably too long off from the start. One thing I really miss are the blade-throwing physics, which should have been "inherited" from DI2's predecessors. Well, this game does have them, but only in a severely limited capacity, introduced with two varieties of Shuriken curveballs, Asian throwing stars. Their limitations are offset by the fact that they are not depletable inventory items, but rechargeable abilities.

Oh, and that Bridezilla is a real nutcracker beeyotch.

Jurassic Fart 1 (why the 1 is there another lol),

OMG you get it. As the throwing skilled guy you could throw a cleaver and stick it between a zombies eyes or take their head off and you could take down a heavy with a few throws. I liked playing as the swords woman, when three of the fast ones came at you, you'd just lop their heads off one by one. Such good fun.

DI2 seems to be more of a linear console type game. Not criticising, each to their own. Still love the graphics and the slaying system. However an old time sand box survival world would have been awesome.
