Is the game actually bad or are the Mixed reviews because "EPIC IS LE HECKIN BAD"?

I'd actually like to be informed on the game and whether it's fun or not. Not hear 10 million Valve boot-shiners crying about having to connect their epic account to play the game

Well performance was absolute rubbish at launch but for some reason it runs smooth as butter now. I think it was cuz the epic services aren't used to having more than 5k+ users at the same time.

But yeah its a typical review bomb scenario because of Epic. The game is seriously fun and has two expansions. Really worth it. All the negative reviews are just complaining about epic.

The game is pretty good, literally you just have to look at reviews of the actually release a year ago and most reviews are average to very good. The epic stuff is overblown and has completely taken over the discussion of the ACTUAL game.

People hate epic so much they are willing to just make up stuff about the game and trash on it just because, its kind of sad imo.

I enjoy the game, but the epic game store integration is absolutely awful. Once I uninstalled those files so it could be skipped it's better.

Did you manage to remove not just Epic Games Launcher but also Epic Online Services? And if so, does the game work fine without EOS? Can you gain Steam achievements, play co-op with Steam players etc. with EOS removed like this?

The game works, can't say about achievements or coop since I haven't played far enough to get any yet.

Ngl, this thread sounds like you were trying to find people who agree with your stance on the game. You could of easily made your post a lot less aggressive, but chose not to. So I doubt this is truly about how good the game actually is.

If the only real metric players can create are reviews, then this is the perfect way to make it known we don't want to be forced to use other platforms' ecosystems. There's a reason I use Steam and Steam alone, the rest could disappear tomorrow and I wouldn't blink an eye. It's also one of the many reasons I haven't bought a Ubisoft or EA game in the past 12 years.

the negative reviews are 10% legit concerns about epic games, 90% of them are mouth breathing morons who are having problems with Epic Online Services(i do too) but have absolutely no idea what it is and is slamming it, almost every "im not buying this ♥♥♥♥ if it has epic built in" post i have checked the user in question has a library full of games that uses EOS

It sucks. Every character is annoying. So is their lame dialogue. It has some woke elements. Very repetitive. Main characters are also boring. Story is terrible. Beat it so fast just for the Xbox achievements. The game gave me gut rot and a headache the entire time playing it.

LOL nice bait. Also, if you dont have a problem with Epic, why havnt you just bought it from there already? Im sure they have had plenty of sales over there and as they said back in the day "Games will be cheaper because we take less of a cut from devs!"

Idk about that. I have problems with Epic due to their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher and constant exclusives. I can definitely remember all the issues Valve had and still have for Steam. Paid mods anyone? So, there is definitely a reason to why people hate Epic a lot.
