not at all.. their's a collaboration between the developers of this game and Epic game store, which forces the user to download the epic game launcher to play the game they've purchased on steam..
This kind of thing is common place in games published by Ubisoft, Microsoft, etc, because they have their own launchers and the games they release on steam are dependent upon their launchers... Deep Silver isn't part of Epic game and no reason exist for you to need to download the entire Epic game Launcher to play the game.. it's completely unnecessary and at the very least sort of shady..
Yah, that’s weird.
pirate it then. you already own the game, so it's not illegal
either that or suck it up and just get epic
Remove EG and EOS. Delete the Epic Online Services folder in your Dead Island 2 directory. Then change NoOperation = 0 to NoOperation = 1 in the Dead Island 2 ini file in the game's directory.
Just download the launcher
