Whats DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper
Is this a anti cheat? i have a steam deck and steam deck doesn't work well with anti cheat games. so does that mean i can't play this game?

no, it's anti tamper (anti piracy), anti cheat is something entirely different

It's basically an extremely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ system where you're required to be ONLINE to play a game even if it's single player . You log into the game and it gives you a "token" that allows you to play the game for X amount of time. You must always get online first to use said token. Some tokens last for a few days some tokens instantly vanish as soon as you lose your connection.

Also slows the game down and makes the performance take a hit . Overall just anti consumer ♥♥♥♥

That's not the anti-cheat. Denovo is used as a lair of security to prevent people from pirating the game.

Apparently a lot of people in the discussion boards are under the impression that's the Epic Launcher, which isn't the case.

THANK YOU, i thought this had Anti cheat which doesn't work with handhelds.

so dead island 2 doesn't have easy anti cheat?

it's Malware that incentivizes Piracy by offering pirates who crack the game the objectively best version that doesn't have performance issues, privacy concerns and ironically those who do aren't treated like criminals like the paying customers will always be. you legitimately couldn't pay me $3,000 to install this on my PC

Nope, I had 5 codes that I got for free, by far the worst game I've ever played though.

You could tell starpoop was going to fail before release because of all the effort Phil went to to add hype. Not only that, but it released in the 2020s.

I just checked, you're right. A lot of the times EOC is bundled with it, but it's not in the game. Removing and editing my comments to include the correct info. Thanks for letting me know.
