Transferring Save File from Epic Games to Steam
So I went looking to see if I can find a way to transfer my progress from the Epic Games version to the Steam version (just like everyone else) Luckily it's super simple.

Navigate to your Appdata>Local

Path> C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local and you should see 2 Dead Island folders

DeadIsland > Epic Games Version
DeadIslandSteam > Steam Version

You're going to go into the DeadIsland folder, copy everything from inside that folder and paste it into the DeadIslandSteam folder. Simple as that. Load up the Steam version and you should have your progress transferred over.

Did you transfer the Saved folder from the DeadIsland folder to the DeadIslandSteam folder? That's where your save file is located and once you launch the Steam version of Dead Island 2 it should automatically recognize the file with all your characters.

it works for other 3rd party apps that have the same files ..

haven't tested with this game yet waiting for Epic sell to get it there ..

how ever i've had success with other 3rd party cross play apps ..

it worked with them ..

some you have to start a new game first then save then copy over with your game saves ..

~same exact files
