Game Stuttering on Epic Games
Even in single player mode i get stutters etc with the 7800x3d and a 4090, at 240fps in 1440p, i have tried literally EVERYTHING to fix the stutters and lag but nothing works, its in the actual game apparently, but if you cap it at 60fps it works smooth for some people, not sure who to believe as i don't use a controller to game if i can help it,

Other than that this game is perfect, not sure to buy it on steam just yet as i have nearly 200 hours in on epic game store, its a good game but them stutters and lag can be irritating!

Would the game play the same as it is on Epic games if i buy the Steam version or would they be the exact game files?

It's weird, sometimes it runs smooth as butter and other times its a stuttering mess. I'm 100% sure it has to do with the epic services.

The real question is: does it stutter for those who bought on Steam? Because I couldn't care less about people who endorse Epic.

It still amazes me how people still are buying games on Epic Fail store and then come to Steam discussions asking for help.
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR.
BTW Welcome to PC gaming! I hope you won't repeat the same mistake ever again. For me it's either Steam/GOG or that game doesn't exists.

all my other games play flawlessly, even on youtube videos i see the same stutters in their game play, even on console too, apparently its the game engine, what part of the PC could cause the stuttering? everything is default too, i have tried different RAM, i got a new 4090, new x670e mobo, new psu, 7800x3d, it even did it in my 7900xt build, maybe i have missed something...

I only had stuttering in some of the bigger areas on the epic version and simply lowering shadows solved most if not all of my issues and I've been on the epic version since launch and its been 99% buttery smooth.

If your having stuttering on the epic version you will have the same on the steam version because its the same game.

I would recommend messing with some of the settings to see if you can eliminate it, and I believe there was also a post about the game stuttering and it was caused by their mouse having too high of a "polling rate" (you can read that here https://steamcommunity.com/app/934700/discussions/0/4368004468485600425/ )
