Older Dead islands had it. But we live in a world where new games get released in a "half-baked" state. Especially Epic related games.

i don't feel to buy it, i play the predecessor, for my the absence of ng+ is a deal breaker, if they add i reconsider

Nothing about DI2 is really "half-baked" just because its lacks one mode does not detract from everything else it does better then most other zombie games. Look I also want a NG+ but the game has plenty of content, 6 playable characters, and some of the best zombie slaying there is. I know because I played the game at launch and enjoyed it from beginning to end, even enjoyed the DLC's.

There is still more to come to this game so a NG+ may be in the future if the devs finally decide to add it.

no ng+ in this one? really? didn't even check before buying but man...that's usually a given for those titles. why would one start from scratch for a 2nd playtrough really.

No ng
Oh no, why

Sorry Nokrahs maybe they will add this (basic in 2024) mode, or maybe the modding community will make a mod

Different characters, different playstyles, different builds,....etc. Did you not play the originals? Where there was 4 playable characters that had completely different skill trees, so players would start a new playthrough with different characters?

Well in this game there is 6 play-able characters, that all have unique dialog in the missions, side missions, they have their own specialized perks to build around,,...etc

Most people who have played the game since the original release have wanted a NG+ mode, but there is very good reasons to start a new character from scratch in this game.

sure, I played Sam, Purna and Xian. haven't used Logan. however, my "main" girl was Purna later on for ng+ and multiplayer. same goes for Riptide. I played hundreds of hours Dead Island and Dying Light. for new game, idk. I picked the Firefighter dude because he was the only one not totally fuqed up :) I'n not interested in playing the other folk.

The NG+ is a needed thing for many of us because fill the "lose everyhing that i done" at the end of a run.

In many titles the player need work and sacrifice to obtain an item or do something, for example keep the weapon etc in Starfield is a really nice thing and the whole playing make more sense to many people.

Yeah we can start from scratch, and yes we can try different build but we always have a main character that we love, like that Chosen Undead in Dark Soul which has now reached Ng+4 and stiil go

New game plus is the recognition of the efforts made in the game

At least for me

Amen to that Brother.

When I looked online for a NG+ I was looking for something along the lines of the Original DI/DI RIP or Dying Light 1/Following/2. Better gear on a second playthrough. Maybe some quests in NG+ give legendary versions of a unique Weapon.

Hell if be happy just for a new game plus just to hear all the Quirky ♥♥♥♥ Jacob and Ryan said.

Jacob for his "Hold the Salad" line and Ryan for his "WTF did I do?!" line.

Sadly I must sit and wait for a spark of hope.

My brother in Christ, Borderlands also has like 4 to 6 classes to play as and a bazillion of guns and it still has NG+ come on now.
