Steam Achievements seem to be bugged

I've been getting story related ones, but I just looked at my achievement progress and noticed huge discrepancies with others. It's saying only 61 dismemberments when I've been chopping off limbs from every zombie I've fought. 17 finishers when I know damn well I've done way more than the 25 it calls for. Something like 8 perfect dodges when I've been doing hundreds of them. It looks like it records a little bit and just stops.

I just restarted, got the challenge for 25 finisher moves and Steam progress is still stuck at 17. It was recording at one point, but I don't know how or when. I haven't made any adjustments to the game or its files since I've first played it other than deleting the save data when I wanted to start over. But the first time I did that was long after I should have gotten one of those achievements, and it shouldn't be effecting it to begin with.

The only thing I can think to do is reinstall it.

Reinstall did nothing. Achievement progress still frozen.

Did uninstall and installed back when I have used the function to verify the integrity of cache files on game properties at Steam client. After catching this issue with ''EOS not found'' error. Before April 25th there was no issues...nothing. The game was working 100%!

Then on April 25th, right after 'hotfix v1.0' update came. Whenever I ran the game application it would appear to run on background a script line. Apparently it is epiconlineserviceinstaller.exe trying to install. Since then that service does not seem to be installed in my disk. And for that whenever I entered the game menu, ''EOS not found'' error would interrupt my actions.

Followed his advice and fixed partial of the problem it all started upon 'hotfix v1.0'. But ever since playing the game 16 hours after, any of my ongoing Steam achievements are still stuck in the same progress it have been for 9 days.

I don't understand why Dambuster Studio had to make this ''hotfix v1.0'' if does not fix anything. It complete ruins the experience on contraire.

I can still play and run the game but cannot unlock Steam achievements or play online with others on Steam.

Yep can confirm they're bugged for me as well. They tracked for a while, maybe only my first session, but now they're not updating. Only story achievements seem to pop. I've tried a lot of things, like reinstalling EOS, updating EOS manually to the latest version, linking steam account to an epic account, unlinking epic, playing offline mode etc. It just doesn't work. Looks like we need to wait for a patch for now.

Yeah, I saw your post on that "Disable EOS" guide, too, thanks.

Unfortunately, deleting the EOS binaries prevents me from accessing all of the DLC I purchased. Only deleting the Epic Online Services folder allows me to play the game with the DLC and still unlock "some" achievements. Without deleting the Epic Online Services folder, I can't even play the game at all as it automatically forces the game to close.

Also, I bought and played the game for the first time after that hotfix was introduced.

So it definitely seems to be an issue with achievements that require sequential progress to be made. Any achievement that just requires a single trigger seem to all be working (I just got the achievement for upgrading a Superior weapon and the one for hitting a zombie from 35 meters away).

Still no word on a solution, let alone a fix from the developers or if they're even aware or care about the issue.

This is still a problem months later, still no fix. The only thing I noticed for some of the Achievements to start working is to play in somebody else's game.

Have same issue. I killed 30 or 50 zombies by kicking them into abbys but still counts only 1.
Kill so many in village on grass with showel... literally chopping them all limbs, but still nothing.

Achievements are definitely not bugged, a single glance at the achievement stats will tell you that. The problem is most likely on the user end, something is preventing Steam from tracking the achievement progress properly. IDK, maybe offline mode. EOS issue...

My Bookworm achievement is bugged, I'm stuck at 10/50 even though I beat the game and beat 2 DLC's

Achievements are bugged. In addition to having a delay to show that they were made and appear on the screen, the achievement Humanity Distilled (Equip your first Numen Skill Card) didn't work for me. And it's an achievement related to history and supposedly can't be missed...
