Which should I choose? Which character did you choose?

I chose Ryan first. He's one of the most overpowered because of his toughness.

Depends on whether you prioritize gameplay or character personality. Personally, I feel like Amy and Ryan are the only decently acted and least obnoxious characters. I've only tried out each character up to Halperin Hotel to get a feel for how they are. Jacob, Dani and Carla rely way too much on their accents for their personality, and Bruno is literally the most bland character I have ever seen in any form of media. I mained Amy and she has a few cringe quotes, but is overall an interesting and decent person. And the VA for Ryan, from what I have heard, did an incredible job.

But if all you care about is gameplay, just compare stats I guess. Amy and Bruno for quickness and crits, Ryan and Carla for beefy tanks, and Dani and Jacob for middle of the road stats.

Ryan or Carla are the easiest.
Ryan probably has an edge in the early game and Carla the edge in the later game cause losing resilience with Carla on Autophage stage 1 is a bit better than losing toughness with Ryan, but it is real close either way

Crit Damage is king tho, so if you go lightweight I'd consider Bruno

Amy's thing is her speed... but I've never had any trouble outrunning even runners with Ryan /shrug (Ryan has the lowest Agility)

Oh shoot, I forgot that Bruno would LOSE crit damage on autophage phase 1... Amy with 4 in crit damage would be better in that case... tho if I did roll a 2nd character it'd probably be Dani for those innate perks...

jacob since if you get consecutive hits 5 times your weapon becomes stronger and faster

Frenzy strats like Jacob can be fun but they chew through your weapon durability :S

Pick whomever appeals to you the most. Take a look at the DLC and unlockable cosplays too if visuals matter to you.

For me that was Ryan, because he seemed the most relatable, had good stats for maiming zombies, I enjoyed the voice acting too.
