Did I just screw myself early on in the game due to the Haus DLC...
So I just left the hotel and was going back to the starting house. I saw the invitation letter and used it and got taken to the Haus DLC. My problem is that I don't know how to fast travel back to LA. Nor do I have any guns to shoot the brains in the grass area. So did I screw myself and stuck in a DLC that I can't complete yet this early on?

no. but i think the point Haus becomes available is too early as it is a big spoiler.

you get a crossbow IN that DLC to shoot brains with, you cannot shoot brains with guns, only crossbows.

At what point would you consider Haus to be canonically appropriate to start? I dabbled a bit with it, and you can fast travel out of there, but I kind of want to just restart and avoid it until it's thematically appropriate. Same for the other DLC.

Also, to answer OP's question, a fast travel point is available just before the door that leads to the "main hall", I guess you'd call it with the headless bodies. I don't know at what point it becomes active, but you're probably past that point by now. Just look for it on the map.

the point at which you meet the 3 Numan (which is when you unlock rage), reed, and his daughter.

U can fast travel back to LA from the spot where the people without heads sit in the circle
