Stop-Service -Name "Audiosrv" ; Start-Process "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dead Island 2\DeadIsland\Binaries\Win64\DeadIsland-Win64-Shipping.exe" ; Start-Sleep -Seconds 30 ; Start-Service -Name "Audiosrv"
It will disable your audio for 30 secs (change from 30 to a higher number if your PC is slow) the code will launch the game and it will get passed the logo screens without crashing. after the timer it will turn audio back on. If you have a 3rd party app like me with steelseries gg, you will need to go in the app and reset the defaults.
