Then you would have nothing to do with EPIC
To fix:
- Go to https://www.epicgames.com/account/connections?lang=en-US&productName=egs
- Click on Apps.
- Click Remove under Dead Island 2.
When you boot the game, it'll prompt you to link your game to your EGS. Don't do that, otherwise you'll get stuck connecting to EOS again.
I appreciate your reply mate, I tried this but Dead island 2 does not appear in my app's section :(
That is not what he meant.
He meant to login to the Epic Games website and unlink your Steam from your Epic Games account. Select No to Linking after that and it'll actually load.
Please submit a ticket to our customer support team if this persists so they can investigate the cause for you!

I apologize for any inconvenience caused!
You don't need to unlink your Steam account from your EGS account. You only need to unlink Dead Island 2 in the Apps section of your EGS account page.
If DI2 doesn't appear in your Apps section, that means the game isn't linked to your EGS account and you shouldn't have any problems connecting to EOS. If you launch the game and don't get a prompt to link your game to your EGS account, that means the game thinks you linked your game already.
Well, someone I want to play with has it on Epic...that's why I would like to connect to Epic. I Hope it gets fixed soon.
