Been there. Done that. The unique skill trees gave the first game a reason to play multiple characters. There seem to be a very limited amount of cards that are limited to characters here, and they're not interesting enough to make a whole other playthrough for it. Everybody can use everything. Healing items and skills are plentiful enough to not make it too challenging or exciting. Its okay. Not really standing out in any respect. Worth it on a sale for occupying a weekend? Sure
Based on interviews with Dambuster studio - it took 4 years and they started from scratch. They narrowed the scope of the game to deliver and focused on what they identified as key elements for the franchise.
Reportedly you can play single-player without EOS.
I don't get why people make such a big deal out of Epic.
Tencent also owns majority of shares of Techland, the creators of Dead Island, Dying Light and Dying Light 2.
Why is everyone so afraid of EOS anyway? I am genuinely curious what the problem is there. I've been playing with it and haven't had any troubles whatsoever. If it's a moral argument, isn't just about everything we consume, down to the threads in our socks sourced through cruelty and exploitation? The alternative is... to live naked in a cave with nothing. Thanks in advance for any explanations anyone feels like tossing out there. Not meant to be an argument, I just don't get what the issue is.
Which is why I'm reporting the more I play.
But DI2 feels like original Dead Island riptide reduced in many ways as to level map sizes, exploration pathfinding, gameplay features, runners/virals could climb walls, and few other things.
