It's how the game is. it compiles the shaders and loads them into memory so it dosen't stutter when loading into new areas.

what i'm asking is why does it have to compile shaders evertime i relaunch the game for example Callisto Protocol does compile shaders when you start the game for the first time and thats it no shader compilation on the 2nd relaunch unless you reinstall the Gpu drivers.

It only takes time on the first load. Every other time i've done it, it's taken like 15 seconds.

The average person's attention span these days is 1 to 3 seconds, I'm not surprised in the slightest that such a minor inconvenience would be something of note to some.

Simply think why cross a river with a boat when you have bridge next to it.

you are correct yes it compiles shaders faster but with all the crap loading including the in game services it can be annoying at times thats all.

It's a mild inconvenience, but it should be a background task anyway. Why do I need to sit there and watch the shader count, when I just sat through a bunch of intros / disclaimers, where this could have been happening in the background? Or while I'm looking at the main menu. It should just automatically happen in the background without me ever knowing.

Take it like this, you can skip the logos and all but even skip the shader compilation the problem with skipping shader compilation is worse performance. I mean I understand that it can be frustrating so try and install the game on SSD a M.2 but never on a HDD as it won't benefit you.
